Lauren Tarshis

On Thursday, November 9^th, author Lauren Tarshis visited our school and provided our students with an amazing assembly.

Lauren Tarshis is the editor of Scholastic’s Storyworks Magazine and group editorial director for language arts for Scholastic classroom magazines. In addition, she is the author of the "I Survived" series and acclaimed novels Emma-Jean Lazarus Fell Out of a Tree and Emma-Jean Lazaraus Fell in Love.

During her time at TJL, Mrs. Tarshis shared experiences about her life as a reader and writer, and our students hung on her every word! We are so grateful that Mrs. Tarshis was able to visit our school and we thank her for such a positive and engaging presentation. We also thank the TJL PTA for making this presentation possible for our students.
