Our students and our community took great pride in making fundraising over $1100.00 for childhood cancer a focus of spirit week and homecoming. We are proud to announce that we raised which we donated to childhood cancer charities. A large portion was donated directly to Maggie’s Mission a foundation set up in memory of Maggie Schmidt.

Kicks For Cancer - Girls Varsity Soccer
This week marked the beginning of October and that means the girls soccer program will officially begin its annual Kicks for Cancer fundraising campaign. Over the last 6 years, the program has raised over
$ 40,000 that has been used to support the American Cancer Society as well as several cancer research and support organizations right here on Long Island. This year, the Kicks for Cancer campaign will honor the memory of Mrs. Audrey Davis and Mr. Philip Hammer. Mrs. Davis, the mother of senior captain Julia, and Mr. Hammer, the father of recent graduate and 3 year varsity starter Katie, both, sadly, lost their battle with cancer. In honor of them and all people in the Harborfields community affected by cancer, our girls will host several fundraisers and commit to raising as much money as possible in the month of October. The varsity Kicks for Cancer game is Thursday October 5th at 4:30 vs. Rocky Point.
On September 20th, members of our Global Justice Club and their advisor Michelle DaSilva attended WE day at Madison Square Garden. They were treated to world-renowned speakers and A-list performers and tens of thousands of other young people to celebrate their contributions and kick-start another year of inspiration.
As a follow up activity, our Global Justice club hosted an event tie dying t-shirts which raised $600.00 and that amount is matched by All-State through the WE program. A total of $1200 will be donated to hurricane relief efforts
