The TJL Social
Studies Curriculum is aligned with the New York State Common Core Learning
Standards. The grade 3-5 Social
Studies Curriculum spans a variety of local, national and international topics.
3rd
graders will learn about the social, political, geographic, economic, and
historical characteristics of people and their cultures worldwide.
4th
graders will learn about the social, political, geographic, economic, and
historical characteristics of the people of New York State.
5th
graders will learn about the social, political, geographic, economic, and
historical characteristics of the people of the Western Hemisphere including
the United States, Canada, and nations in Latin America.
