Music Program

OVERVIEW

The Harborfields Central School District Music Department offers a comprehensive music education program to all students K-12. A balanced program of music performing ensembles and classroom music is offered to all students, with more than two dozen performing ensembles in grades 4-12. In addition, the district offers music electives in General Music, Music Theory, Advanced Placement Music Theory, and Beginning Guitar.

A number of students from Harborfields are chosen each year to participate in local, state, regional, and national honors ensembles. Harborfields High School supports an active chapter of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society. Each year, a number of graduating students in the Harborfields music program go on to pursue careers in the areas of music performance and music education.

Our music program is driven by a dedicated staff of top-notch professionals at the forefront of their field.  Members of the Harborfields music staff have presented at conferences at the local, state, and national levels; they've served as esteemed guest conductors for SCMEA All-County festivals and other honor groups; and they've performed with some of the finest ensembles in the area.  Above all, they continue to put their passion for music education behind their work in the Harborfields Central School District, inspiring students on a daily basis.
