Freedom of Information Law (F.O.I.L.)

It is the policy of the Harborfields Board of Education to inform members of the public about the administration and operation of the public schools in accordance with the Freedom of Information Law (F.O.I.L.) of the State of New York.

All requests for public access to records should be submitted in writing, either in-person or by mail to Gina Inglese, Records Access Officer, Harborfields Central School District, 2 Oldfield Road, Greenlawn, NY 11740, or by Email: [email protected]

Requests to inspect or secure copies of records may be made on any day business day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The desired records must be identified in sufficient detail for the request to be honored. The fee for photocopies of records is twenty-five cents ($.25) per page. You have a right to appeal a denial of an application to the head of this agency, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Rory Manning, within thirty (30) days of the denial. The Superintendent of Schools will fully explain his reason for such denial, in writing, within ten (10) days of receipt of an appeal.
