Harborfields High School inducted 23 new members into the National Art Honor Society on May 22 in the school’s auditorium. After the candle lighting ceremony and presentation of certificates, NAHS Co-President Emma Byrom administered the society’s oath. Additionally, NAHS honor cords were presented to the 19 graduating senior members.

“Congratulations to all our newly inducted National Art Honor Society members and to our seniors awarded honor cords,” NAHS adviser Jeanie Ritter said. “Your dedication and creativity have not only enriched our school but also our community. Collectively, you have completed over 500 hours of art-related community service. Your efforts in creating murals at the high school, painting holiday windows in Greenlawn raising money for the Roy Schwen Art Scholarship fund and donating art to a local homeless shelter have made a significant impact. Your art has been showcased at the Heckscher Museum, Harborfields Public Library, the high school Artrium and the Firefly Gallery in Northport. These accomplishments highlight your talent and commitment. As your faculty advisor, I am incredibly proud of each of you. Keep creating, inspiring and making a difference with your art.”
