February is American Heart Month!
February is American Heart Month and students at Washington Drive are learning all about the ways to keep their hearts healthy! Whether it's wearing red to raise awareness, or jumping rope in PE to promote heart health, our students are coming together to create a healthier future for all!
Mrs. Justiniano's class took an extra step to learn about bout Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) during CHD awareness week. With a heart warrior of their own - Gemma - the class embraced the opportunity to deepen their understanding of CHD. Special visitors joined them to read informative books and create a heart-themed craft.
Whether spreading kindness, supporting heart warriors, or embracing heart-healthy habits, one thing is certain - our students' hearts are filled with love!
