Our mission is to empower all English Language Learners (ELLs) to achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential in a supportive and nurturing learning environment. 

Our goal as a department is to provide an atmosphere in which ELLs will be able to :

• Communicate effectively in academic and social settings
• Meet English language and content area objectives
• Acquire independent skills that will help them develop into lifelong learners.
• Participate fully in an academic setting and in classroom conversations

We are committed to developing relationships with parents and students that support active participation in the school community. We encourage parents to actively participate in their children's education and to feel a welcome part of our Harborfields family.
