Harborfields Central School District

Four Harbofields students spent their summer upgrading parts of the Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School gym.

Sophia Albanese, Mariel Bouchard, Mila Larson, and Violet Waldren, all seventh graders at Oldfield Middle School, took on the ambitious project to earn their Silver Award — the highest honor for Girl Scouts at the Cadette level. The girls are all part of Harborfields Girl Scout Troop 120. 

Together they raised more than $1,200, devoted over 50 hours, and worked to rejuvenate the gym so future students would have a place to grow in both body and mind. Their work is a lasting contribution to the Harborfields community that reflects their leadership and commitment to service.
