More than 300 student-athletes gathered at Oldfield Middle School to undergo comprehensive cardiac screening during the inaugural National Youth Heart Screening Day in February 2025. At the event, a Harborfields High School student was screened and flagged for an underlying heart condition that required medical intervention. Because the condition was identified early, the student was able to receive appropriate care. To show his gratitude, and help protect other young athletes, the student organized a Heart Screen Awareness event at a Harborfields High School basketball game on December 19.
