Harborfields Special Olympics Debut

Over the course of two months, six Harborfields students prepared to compete on the first-ever Harborfields Special Olympics track & field team. Through practices focused on building confidence, developing athletic skills, and creating a fun and supportive team environment, the students trained hard for their big day. On Saturday, May 2, they put that hard work into action at the Special Olympics games at Berner Middle School in Massapequa.
Thank you to the incredible coaches, Ms. Basel, Ms. FitzMaurice, and Ms. Boody, along with so many members of the Harborfields community for their encouragement and support.
We look forward to cheering on many more HF athletes at future Special Olympics games.
