20th Annual All-Star Awards Recognize Student Success

On the morning of May 29, students, staff, and families gathered at Oldfield Middle School for the 20th Annual All-Star Awards.
A group of 70 students were honored based on teacher nominations, and this year’s recipients truly exemplified what it means to be an All-Star. These award recipients have typically made small strides, achieved personal goals or overcome hardships to meet with their own level of success from an academic, social, emotional or behavioral standpoint. Earning an all-star award reinforces the importance of character, which is crucial to all students, but especially those in middle school.
OMS guidance counselors took turns reading the heartfelt teacher submissions like the ones below:
- "Valentina has a way to make every encounter memorable and her energy is contagious."
- "Jaxon's commitment to transform into the person he wants to be is extraordinary."
- "Ava is an All-Star for 2026 and beyond. The world is such a better place with Ava in it!"
While teachers highlighted different strengths in each recipient, one thing was clear throughout the ceremony: these students lead with hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude.
