A May to Remember
The month of May has been a true celebration of student achievement across the Harborfields Central School District. From concerts and induction ceremonies to academic and athletic award nights, it has been my great pleasure to attend so many events that honor the dedication, talent, and character of our students. What makes these moments even more meaningful is witnessing the joy and pride on the faces of families as they cheer on their children.
As we look ahead to the final weeks of the school year, I’m excited for the celebrations still to come, including field days, more performances, moving up ceremonies, and our first-ever high school commencement under the stadium lights. These milestone moments are some of the most heartwarming of the year, and I look forward to sharing them with you all.
Memorial Day Remembrance
The weather may have dampened the Memorial Day parades, but students still participated in activities to honor and remember our military heroes, thanks to Mr. Taylor’s Participation in Government classes. Students interviewed local veterans, created an Honor Board to recognize loved ones who served, organized a half-mile walk with military-inspired challenge stations, and came together to form a human American flag. Thank you to Mr. Taylor’s classes for their hard work in creating such a meaningful event.

Senior Spotlight
The annual Senior Awards Ceremony was an extra special evening celebrating the Class of 2026 and their outstanding achievements. One of the highlights of the night was the recognition of the top ten seniors. With great pride, Dr. Farrelly took the stage to recognize these exceptional students: Leo Lin, Valedictorian; Michelle Diner, Salutatorian; Riley Lyons, Eren Bileydi, Mia Sigona, Kyleigh Connors, Christopher Palermo, Norene Miraglia, Phoebe Xidas, and Jackson Dunham. As if the excitement of the awards and scholarships wasn’t enough, the evening also included a heartfelt surprise. Since Liam O’Hanlon will report to the Naval Academy in just a few short weeks and will be unable to attend graduation, Dr. Farrelly held a special mini graduation for him in front of his family and peers.
