Our schools are buzzing with activity from HACEF and Booster Camps at the high school, Summer Academy and our Extended School Year Program at Washington Drive, and summer construction. The community may be aware of an organized labor protest over the past two mornings on the corner of Pulaski Road and Taylor Avenue, related to vendors that are on site for the summer construction at Harborfields High School. I want to assure the community that the district follows all applicable public works laws, including public bidding and requiring workers to be paid prevailing wage. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, and I encourage any resident who may have questions to contact me directly.
