Dr. Manning's Early Summer 5-Minute Update

Posted Date: 07/12/26 (10:00 AM)

Dear Harborfields Staff and Families,

I hope this message finds all of you well and enjoying the long days of summer. We had a wonderful time celebrating the Harborfields High School Class of 2026! Take a moment to view the video below highlighting our first commencement ceremony under the lights.

Our schools are buzzing with activity from HACEF and Booster Camps at the high school, Summer Academy and our Extended School Year Program at Washington Drive, and summer construction.  There is no shortage of activity at HF! You can see more images of the fun learning experiences our students are experiencing this summer by clicking the picture below. Enjoy!

The community may be aware of an organized labor protest over the past two mornings on the corner of Pulaski Road and Taylor Avenue, related to vendors that are on site for the summer construction at Harborfields High School.  I want to assure the community that the district follows all applicable public works laws, including public bidding and requiring workers to be paid prevailing wage.  We regret any inconvenience this may cause, and I encourage any resident who may have questions to contact me directly.

Harborfields Highlights - Summer Edition

I am pleased to share the summer edition of the Harborfields Highlights, which is now available on our website and should be arriving at all homes later this month.

2026 - 2027 Full Calendar

I am also pleased to share that the 2026 - 2027 Full Calendar is now available on our website.  This calendar is currently being printed and should arrive at all homes at the beginning of August.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and our schools.  I hope you enjoy the remaining summer days ahead.

Rory J. Manning, Ed.D.
