100 Days of Learning

On Monday, February 24, Washington Drive Primary School celebrated the 100th day of the school year. Students and staff marked the occaision with a variety of engaging activities all with one thing in common – the number 100.
Some students dressed as if they were 100 years old, while others wore superhero shirts and capes to celebrate in a super way! In their classrooms, students worked on 100 day centers, created projects with 100 items, and practiced counting to 100!
Since this year’s 100th day of school fell on the first day back after Mid-Winter Recess, some classes chose to celebrate the 101st day. In those classes, students dressed in white with black polka dots that resembled the 101 dalmations.
Regardless of the day that was picked, it is a huge accomplishment and reason to celebrate! The 100th day of school is more than costumes and games, it represents consistent effort and growth while recognizing the hard work of students and staff.
